The weekend has arrived at last! Today marks the end of 2023’s second week, and what a week it’s been! Well, not really. I’ve been sick, mostly, though I’m on the mend and feeling a bit antsy like I’d like to be outside in the sun, maybe picnic down by a gentle brook, or walk with my toes in the sand next to the ocean.

Of course, I live in a land-locked state in the mountains and it’s winter-time and we have a major storm about to blow in, so it’s snow for my toes and no sand, and there’s not a babbling brook for miles. Maybe a warm fire and a cup of hot cocoa. Curl up with a good book. Maybe even solve a crossword puzzle or two or . . . do a Wordle!

This is one of my favorite Wordles of all time. It’s a great word! It conjures up the cutest of all the bears. I mean:

They’re precious!

I, meanwhile, was quite lucky today. I have only myself to blame for it, too. In fact, blame left me with just 22 options and then, to top it all off, I guessed chalk. Funnily enough, I was considering going with stalk which would have been just as good. Both left me with only one possible choice in the end: koala.

Awww, they’re just so cute! They look like something that Jim Henson would have come up with. Is any animal so Muppet-like? Was there ever a Koala Muppet?

In any case, somehow Wordle Bot—despite being a heartless AI fiend—managed to get this in three as well. Which means I get one point for guessing in 3 and 0 for the tie. But hey, a point’s a point no matter how small! Huzzah!
