Exactly When Apple Will Launch iPhone 15 Pro Max: New Date Claimed

The highly anticipated launch of Apple’s latest iPhones is just around the corner, but a recent report suggests that one of the four models, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, may be facing a delay. This news comes just as leaks have begun to surface online, revealing an exciting upgrade for the upcoming device.

While there hasn’t been an official announcement from Apple yet, it is widely believed that their special event, where they will unveil the new iPhones, will take place on Tuesday, September 12th at 10AM Pacific. The event is expected to be pre-recorded and will likely be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, Cupertino. It will be broadcasted online for viewers around the world to watch.

As for the announcement of the special event, it is speculated that Apple will make it next week, possibly on Wednesday, August 30th or Thursday, August 31st. This will give the public a heads-up to mark their calendars and prepare for the highly anticipated unveiling.

Once the event takes place, Apple will introduce four new iPhones, along with two new Apple Watches. The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro are expected to be available for sale starting on Friday, September 22nd, with pre-orders opening up a week earlier on Friday, September 15th.

However, it seems that the iPhone 15 Pro Max may encounter a delay. According to a major equity analyst note cited by 9to5Mac, a component exclusive to the Pro Max model will be in short supply, causing the release to be pushed back to early to mid-October. While all four phones will be unveiled simultaneously, customers may experience shipping delays when trying to place orders for the Pro Max. It is uncertain whether Apple will announce a separate onsale date for the Pro Max at the keynote or if they will have limited stocks available for those who are eager to get their hands on it.

The reason behind this delay is said to be a Sony component, an image sensor that will not be featured in the iPhone 15 Pro. It is rumored that the Pro Max will be equipped with a periscope camera for an enhanced telephoto lens. Unlike traditional camera mechanisms, a periscope camera uses mirrors to reflect light into the phone, allowing for an extended focal length. This results in a zoom capacity greater than the 3x found on the current Pro models. It is not unusual for there to be differences in camera capabilities among different iPhone models, and the Pro Max is often distinguished as the most capable, as well as the largest and most expensive option.

Based on the analyst note, it is estimated that there will be a three- to four-week delay for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. If this holds true, the Pro Max may go on sale either on Friday, October 6th or Friday, October 13th. It is likely that Apple will announce a separate onsale date for the Pro Max during the keynote, in order to manage customer expectations.

While any delay is less than ideal, Apple enthusiasts will have to be patient for the release of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This highly anticipated device with its impressive camera capabilities will surely be worth the wait.
