The Russian pilot who flew the Mi-8 to Ukraine appealed to the Russians

Ukrainian intelligence talked about its latest special operation in the documentary film "Russian pilots shot down". The film tells the story of a Russian pilot who drove a Mi-8AMTSh helicopter to Ukraine. This operation called "Synytsia" was organized by the Ukrainian Military Intelligence. The main character of the film is 28-year-old Russian captain Maxim Kuzminov. He was a helicopter commander and served in the 319th separate helicopter regiment of the Russian Army Aviation. The pilot contacted representatives of Ukrainian intelligence, explained his situation and received an offer of security guarantees, new documents, monetary compensation and a reward. After discussing the details, they began planning the pilot's flight. According to Kuzminov, military intelligence provided a safe corridor for his flight. He covers a short distance at a minimum height and in radio silence so that no one notices his movements. After 3-4 days, no one was at the place of his location transfer, and his flight was successful. The pilot explained his actions by the fact that he was against an aggressive war and did not want to be involved in war crimes. He cheers for both peoples – Ukrainian and Russian – and believes that now Ukraine will win this war thanks to the unity of its people. Kuzminov urged other Russian pilots to yield to him and act according to the same logic. Before that, Russian pro-war channels claimed to be in contact with the families of the helicopter crew and denied the information that the pilot had moved to Ukraine. However, the film "Downed Russian pilots" demonstrates everything else. Thus, Ukrainian intelligence carried out a successful operation, called "Synitsa", and took a Russian pilot out of Russia together with his Mi-8AMTSh helicopter. This act reflects the desire of the Russians to join the peace and support the Ukrainian people in their struggle against the war.
